Dear Penns Valley Elementary & Intermediate Families,

It is a privilege to serve as the principal of Penns Valley Elementary & Intermediate. As someone who was born and raised in Penns Valley and has dedicated the past 20 years to our school district, I care deeply about our students, staff, and community. During my time in the district, I have served as a Special Education teacher, MTSS and Assessment Coordinator, and for the past 8 years, as a building principal. I am passionate about our district’s vision to “empower students every day to reach individual success.” I believe we do this by celebrating the uniqueness of all of the children who attend PVEI and using their individual strengths to help grow their love of learning.

I was raised in Penns Valley and attended Lock Haven University, where I built a strong foundation for my career in education. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree from Edinboro University and my Doctorate from PennWest California. I am also a proud mom of two daughters, Ava (20) and Lucy (14), who continue to be my greatest inspiration.

I am excited to continue working with your children and look forward to what we will accomplish together. Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” One of the reasons I love Penns Valley is because of the strong connection between the school and the community. I value the partnership we share and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships that support a successful learning experience for all of our students.
