Flexible Instruction Days

The Penns Valley Area School District was approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to use Flexible Instructional Days (FIDs) in place of Emergency Closures/Make-Up Days. FIDs provide for instruction that is delivered largely in an asynchronous way. The maximum number of FIDs we are approved to use in a school year is five.

Should the district implement an FID, please visit the 6th Grade Google Classroom for detailed information about the instruction assigned for that day.  Students must log on to Zoom by 8:15 AM for morning attendance and to begin the school day.   All students are required to log in to ZOOM for each class and complete all assignments, in order to be marked present for daily attendance during an FID.  Students should visit the 6th Grade Google Classroom and use the FID Zoom Links posted in order to log on for the required times.  All 6th grade teachers will be on the same Zoom meeting and we will use breakout rooms for individual questions.

You can also email me at [email protected] throughout the day!
